Calico Critters Luxury Townhome - Hot Christmas Gift 2010
If you haven't seen them yet, Calico Critters Luxury Townhome is an adorable, miniature, plush animals. Children and adults alike fall in love with them with their wide-eyed, innocent expressions and soft, fluffy bodies. They come in a several choises of animals including mice, bears, frogs, cats, dogs, and much more. Sold in families, the parents are 3" tall, and the brother and sister are 2 1/4" tall while the twins are 1 1/4" tall. With moveable arms, legs, and a head that turns, they are posable in a variety of positions. They also have quality, interchangeable and removable clothing. Calico Critter Townhouse is safe to play with as they contain no hormone-disrupting phthalates.
Initially released by Epoch Ltd. in Japan in 1984. In 1993, the distributorship, Tomy, lost the rights to the name Sylvanian Families and reintroduced the line as Calico Critters in the U.S. and Canada. They are currently distributed by International Plaything, LLC.
Winning several toy awards by the British Association of Toy Retailers award in the late 80's, their popularity is still increasing, and they are collectible.
