My friend has a No.949 Southern Colonial Dollhouse from the 1930's made by Rich Toy Company?
It's got 9 front widows with red painted on shutters,plastic windows,a balcony with 4 pillars,2 fireplaces,2 red chimneys,shrubbery and vines painted on the front,and a green with black painted shingles roof.
How much is it worth NOW?
Answer:
They made the dollhouses from 1936-1960, in the 1930's the window frames would have been metal and not plastic til the late 40's and 1950's. Also the house is made of US Gypsum hardboard. The catalog shows the house advertised in 1940 from Famous Funn Family, cost then $3.25. One similar on Ebay but not as many windows they are asking 120.00 here is the link

This factory is an American Company and was located in Clinton Iowa. The Keystone was it competitor and I have two of those houses on turntables. These are great vintage houses to have and should be furnished with wood furniture by Strombecker. That is still found today in estates sales.

Barbie Pink 3-Story Dream Townhouse
The Barbie 3 Story Dream Townhouse is every little girl dream doll house so what better gift to give them than their own beautiful pink doll house. This doll house is fully furnished with everything she will need. I t comes with an elevator you can pull up and down and each level has lights and makes sounds. There is a fireplace, and a flat screen T.V. that pops out. Other features include light up tiki lights, outdoor whirlpool tub, doorbell, kitchen timer, and a flushing toilet. You can also hear Barbie humming in the shower.
This is not just some old fashion dollhouse for sure! Each level is unique. The first level has a kitchen completely decorated with a table and chairs, pots and pans, and dishes to serve food. The Second level is the living room with fireplace that crackles. It also has a bathroom on the side that, as mentioned before, has a flushing toilet sound. The last floor contains Barbie's bedroom and her whirlpool tub.
Barbie can entertain her friends anytime during the day, or have a simple relaxing evening by herself reading a book or watching her favorite T.V. show. Your little girl will have fun using her creative imagination playing with her Barbie and her Pink 3 Story Dream Townhouse. Assembly is required and can be a bit complicated so just make sure to read the instructions thoroughly. Also batteries are not included. Once you have it all assembled sit back and watch where your child's imagination takes them as they play with Barbie.
